Helen's Story
Helen* lost her job due to mental health issues and soon found herself homeless. She was fortunate to be offered temporary accommodation by her local authority who referred her to HOPE worldwide to help her find somewhere she could call home.
Helen said,
“I knew from the day I moved into temporary accommodation, that I would need to move on to something more permanent. But I was reluctant to do so until I was met with understanding about my mental health issues, which then I found hard to admit to having! HOPE worldwide were very clear in their communication of what I needed to do and I experienced a lot of patience and kindness in working with them.”
